I don't like Audiogon. I can no longer count how many items i've followed on ebay which end up on Audiogon anywhere from a few days to a few months latter with the $$ jacked 30%,40% even 50%. I've even compared serial #'s before, same merchandise!
I get the idea the guys in the business pimping used gear on AG for what they'd sell it for in their stores have caused the ordinary guys trying looking to up or downgrade to pay and ask for inflated $$'ing.
For me Audiogon replaced the classified adds i used to look to in $$phile and HiFi news. Audioassylum's classified never really caught on, this site's aren't to bad. Ebay was always on the periphery with the good stuff popping up every now and then. Hasn't changed much in that regard but imo/ime it's prob the site to get the best deals, but thats opening a whole other can of worms.
