That SE OTL has all my favorite virtues, but these headphones are ridiculously hard to drive - my 2a3 amps aren't cutting it, and I'm currently using an F5 to do it.

I'm willing to let go of my painstakingly built Transcendent T16. Some pics from my build :

(thought this day would never come, but looks like I'm contracting SET fever )

I have some major upgrades in there :

- replaced the stock coupling caps to the much much nicer 1.0uF Ampohm PIO Tinfoils (upgraded only last year, so the original Solens are show in the pictures)
- replaced the bypass caps in the first stage driver circuitry to Nichicons
- decent quality teflon hook-up wire
- extra set of 16 6S19P-V "OTK" tubes (i might have more)
- input tubes are top notch RCA Triple Mica BP 5751s, GE BP 6201, CBS Hytron 5814s

I built the amp in Oct 2009 with stock parts and I upgraded the caps sometime last year.  This amp is functioning flawlessly and has given me much musical satisfaction with the Quad 57s.
