A pretty good start for blues in general would be this box set. I got it two weeks ago and my stereo has been playing blues non-stop.

Joe Bonamassa the cd is called The Ballad of John Henry.   I am listening to it right now and it is fantastic.

The Blues Masters series is pretty excellent - each volume looks at a particular style or instrument.  Good place to find some people you want to find more from.

Good additions with Rory Gallagher and Joe Bonamassa. Can't go wrong with either em.

Definitely check out Blues Deluxe by Bonamassa.

I have pretty much all of Joe Bonamassa's stuff.

Live from Nowhere in Particular is my favorite. 

Sloe Gin and If Heartaches were Nickels are 2 blues songs on there that stand out to me.

Not the best audiophile recordings, but lots of atmosphere and emotion makes them easy to enjoy
