The NS-40 and SEP20 can be integrated via a voltage divider setup. There is an option for a built-in active preamp as well.

Since a CD player, a FM tuner and a phono pre-amplifier all have around 2V output, why would I need a built-in active preamplifier on the NS-40 integrated?
Going with a NS-40 integrated, is to avoid the expense of a pre-amplifier with the interconnect or a built-in active pre-amplifier.
Last unanswered question.
Is the DC filament option, built-in inside the NS-40?
