You know it, you love it, and now NHT has come out with a powered version of their venerable  SuperZero 2.0.

I guess the obvious question might be how they would compare to the well-liked Audioengine 5+ for the same price.

That's $199 A piece?  Not pair?  I'm not familiar with that speaker, tho I've listened to many NHTs, and liked them very much.  This may be a good one, I thought, for those desktop systems, as advertised.

Superzero are very, very nice speakers. Real fidelity if you cross to a sub.

Unlike the Audioengine, the NHTs have no volume control. IMHO that means you need a preamp if you are using them with a computer as using the computer as a volume control does not bode well for sonic fidelity.
