I noticed that the top red input works on the bottom white output. Does this mean the they are reversed or is there more to it.

Could you post some pictures of your connections? Might give a feel for what is happening.

I have checked everything ...all the parts for correctness and polarity & rewired the RCA's.  I also checked for cold solder & re soldered the whole board. The side that works sounds great.I did notice that when I pull out one of the inputs the other goes dead. I am running out of things to look for.

I'm sorry - it seems my English is not so good to understand your explanations. Sorry!

Could it be that only one side of inputs gets power?

Its, working & sounds great. The cartridge is only working on one side. Its not in the wires but in the cartridge itself. I am not sure how or if it can be fixed. Anyway I learned a lot about the Cornet. Thanks to everyone for the help.

Can the cartridge be wrongly connected with its wires to the headshell? You can also try to clean the headshell pins carefully and thoroughly.
