I had max's set at $65 on several of the discs...fortunately I didn't need to go that high.  But you're right, some of 'em I may never see again.  To guard against 'snipers' I set my proxy bid as high as I could go & still eat til payday!     If someone is willing to go over my $100 bid, then God bless 'em, they want it more than me.

Hopefully, no one will test your limits and you'll win the auctions. ( the worst are the novice bidders....they just drive the price right up...over a fair price and into a crazy zone !!!)

They come up so rarely that there isn't any info...okay, one of 'em has sold for about $50 most of the rare times it's been sold.  I paid far less.  8)

The one I'm waiting on...well, I've never seen it, ever.  I was convinced it didn't exist until tonite.  But the sellers feedback is extensive & impeccable, and he has photos...

My reputation precedes me!   As metal goes, they're platinum, if not "unobtainium!"     The last one, however, isn't really metal at all.  More pop/hard rock.  I should just say it, but alas, the internet has eyes.  :peek:

I will say this will affect the "Encyclopedia Metallicus Vol II", in case anyone here cares.

Some stuff seems to turn up on eBay that I've never even HEARD of before--I just won 2 Robbie Robertson LP's that I didn't know existed until the auction.  It's a live recording called "On the Record" that must've been a radio show.

One LP I've wanted for some time recently came up--Luka Bloom's "Riverside".  Uncommon, if not rare. I got it from a Swedish seller and had to pay $10 shipping on a $9 LP, but worth it.

i just grabbed a rare sansui tuner the other day -50$ delivered-tu888, so far i havent found any info or had any help with info on it from the fmtuners at yahoo or the sasnsui group.its from the original owner and also on the east coast(dont want ups handling stuff from across cross country )

My latest eBay purchase arrived today. A lot of 10 6N1P triodes. Talk about your good deals, $10.49 for the tubes + $5.00 shipping from Lithuania. I can recommend "kwtubes" as a primo seller. :thumb:

I'll admit E-Bay is addictive!     I've put bids on some other uncommon-to-rare discs- no crazy bids as I'll take 'em for a reasonable price but I can live without them, too.

One I turned out to be a bit of a "sucker"- the disc was profoundly rare, but has just been reissued in Canada.  :x   Still, the price I got was pretty fair, and to be safe I ordered one of the new ones.  Yeah, if both come I'll have two, but if I don't win & the other place turns out not to have it I'd be outta luck.  If I wind up with two I'll turn around and put the extra one back on E-Bay!

Just got a great deal on a Crown K2 amp to drive my dual VMPS Larger Subs.

Price actually was in that region where it was making me think twice (very, very good deal)...but the seller's feedback is 100% positive with 370 transactions.

Guess I will be selling my QSC PLX3402 that just came back from the QSC factory and is in a sealed box.
