I find it amazing that some audio company doesn't release a $900 or so digital amp based on the Tripath, LCAudio, TI, etc. chip sets. I think they would make a killing.
I know we have the Carver PRO amps but they are not home audiophile amps per se. The Power Wave doesn't have enough juice for most speakers. The other digital amps (Bel Canto, etc.) cost thousands. Most of the Asian companies are building receivers and not amps (Panny). Seems a company like Adcom would jump on this opportunity.
Where am I wrong?
