Any body know of a DIY prject in this line?

Well, not DIY, but a wall mount omni: http://www.ohmspeakers.com/productline.cfm (scroll down about halfway to see the MicroWalsh Wall which unfortunately leads you to a larger pic of a different model); mysteriously absent from their price list, if you look into them tell them their website is in dire need of a refresh.

Great! I think this is closing in on a interesting solution. It uses the ceiling for reflected dispersion of the sound, whicj might mean the sound stage will be very high in the room. but otherwise a compact, possibly cheap and cheerfull solution. I reminds me of some wall mounted up-lights. I could include LED´s on the surface to make uplight speakers!
