I bought the 93 and am very happy with it. I don't use it for music but its analog outs sound decent if not spectacular. If you already own a good DAC you could probably get equal to better sound than the 95 by running the digital outs through it.The 93 has a smaller footprint and there should be no difference in PQ compared to the 95. One feature I'm really happy with, and that seperates it from the cheaper Panasonics, Samsungs, etc, is the streaming capabilities. I use Mezzmo to stream 1080p from my PC and it works flawlessly. I tried streaming directly to my TV over ethernet and the picture was two dimensional with stuttering and other issues.
For my HT only. I don't listen to SACD's or music in the HT.Is the movie sound and picture better with the 95 versus the 93? I'd be strictly HDMI connections.
Can you get all the surround formats for movies if you use all analog connections and just run the HDMI straight to the projector?I assume this is the way to get the player to decode versus the processor to decode.
My BDP-95 has 7.1 analog outputs and supports most media including FLAC, it also has dual HDMI outputs in case you run one to a projector and other to a receiver. You can have a 3D TV and pre-3D HDMI receiver and all will be happy. The 95 does “True 24p Video”.
As does the BDP-93. Steve
Can the Oppo BDP 93 play a SACD into the two channel stereo through digital outputs? Thanks in advance for any clarification, as I have read the website documentation, but I am not sure as to the answers to both questions.
