How to fix a broken LCD

My LCD screen for my Canon SD1000 was broken (cycling related).  I put it in the back of my jersey, then the saddle hit it when I stopped.  Luckily, they have replacement parts.  It is only $29 plus shipping.

Instead of buying a new camera, I decided to give it a shot and replace the broken LCD with a new one.

Replacing the LCD is fairly simple.  Remove the old one out and put the new one in.  That is all there is to it!

This the only major tool that is needed to open up the camera.

Remove all the screws from the sides.  Total of 6 screws.

Back of the camera off

Front of the camera off she comes
