Very encouraging since I've ordered the Cirrus.

Ryan,

Thanks for hosting this afternoon.  The Cirrus and Arcus sounded wonderful.  They certainly make me question the need to spend more for top-tier sound.  I'd encourage anyone looking for "class A" sound in a relatively compact package to audition the Vapor Sound line.

Hope to see you here at my place when I host another GTG.

Glad you enjoyed them Bob ... anytime you want to hear them just let me know, I can load them in the RX8 anytime.  I do have a couple new "less than compact" package speakers coming soon, Joule and Nimbus ... both full range 3-ways.

Ryan and Heather,
Thank you for hosting a great listening session and providing the delicious home made snacks.
Ryan, with all the various meteorological monikered masterpieces when are we going to listen to a sultry chanteuse singing "Stormy Weather"?  The Arcus is just bonkers, anything that small simply should not have the efficiency to be able to do what it did with that small amount of power.  It would be fascinating, and visually absurd, to hear those in an auditorium.  The room would live up to its Latin roots!

We were talking about that the whole time listening to the Arcus (Ryan and I).  I can only imagine them in a bigger room...the sound stage and the volume that could be unleashed :icon_surprised:.

Ryan:
Thanks for the GTG. Always a pleasure listening to the Cirrus as they provide 5 figure sound for much less $$$. The Arcos was a treat as well. They sound great and have a special ability to lock and fill the room, similar to my 6 ft. line source OBs--very nice. Looking forward to your next design.

Ryan, I thank you and Heather very much for the invite. My buddy Andy and I had a great time chatting with friends and listening to great sounding equipment.
Looking forward to the next one.  :thumb:

That was a fun day wasn't it  :D

Thanks for everybody who took the time out of your Sunday to drive over, and listen to my work.  The Arcus certainly is another winner and will fit right into my lineup ... nothing else like it anywhere that I know of!

sounds like I missed a really good time.  I would love to catch up though on a future listening session and hope to hear the Cirrus and Aurora's back to back.  :green:

I would think carefully about the 703s. I would have concerns about that exposed tweeter housing and little hands. They are also a little top heavy and would be easy to pull over. If you do get a pair buy Sound Anchor stands to stabilise them.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

After the Sunday GTG I took home Ryan's pair of Breeze for a nice listen (yes I played some Lynyrd Skynyrd  ;) ). These are simply amazing speakers for the price and if you can't afford the Cirrus, this is it (yes I played Kenny Loggins as well). The Raal tweeter is the best and mates seemlessly with the woofer. Add a pair of Rythmik or GR servo subs and you will have a speaker combo under $5k that will compete with systems over $50K--no fool'in.

On another thread about optimizing the SB Touch there was discussion about whether it sounds better using WAV-PCM or WAV-FLAC/SOX conversion. With the Breeze, the difference is plain as day (sorry couldn't find a CD in my collection that had a song titled Plain As Day).

Nice job, Ryan.
