I think I read in another thread that you were going to get an iPad2.  It will do everything except power on/off.

Robert,
I meant that the iPad2 (using the MPad ap) will control the BDP-1 except power on/off.  I have a BR2 remote and when I use it to control the BDP-1 it is necessary to switch the BR2 to D/A.  If it is switched to CD it does not control the BDP-1.  That likely means that the BCD remote will not work but I cannot confirm that .  Just try it and see what happens.

Hi Robert,
I love the fact that it does control the volume too, including the mute, which both are not dealt with by the iPad.
In fact because of that I have them both around me all the time.....the br2 is convenient for start/stop/pause. I must confess I find the other controls are less then adequate, because I feel the need to be able to see the loaded playlists.

so your br2 might not control the BDA, but it will be very convenient to use next to the iPad, for volume control.

Hope you'll like it!
