Note, they are front-ported, a good thing imo, for nearfield.
You do realize that the price tag of $329 is for a single speaker,don't you?I love Adam Audio(as I have the original A7's),but $660 for a pair of 3" monitors is patently absurd..... especially since the
Emotiva Airmotiv6's are only $699 per pair.
Front ported speakers are a matter of convenience(for placement in the corners of a room),nothing more.
Front ported or not,acoustical treatment is ideal,whether it be a recording studio or a home theater application.
Some people seem to obsess about front ported speakers,but if front porting was so critical,most-if not all,studio monitor manufacturers would be designing them with front ports.
Some companies however,assert that front port turbulence negatively impacts the listening area of the user,but I never put much stock in that opinion.
