Since no one has replied I will give you my opion based on experience and the companies reputation.

The McCormack will absolutely destroy the Denon on sound quality.

The Denon will have better picture quality

I heard it 2 weeks ago at the meeting of the LA Audio Society.

It was played right after the $12,000 Gryphon Mikado and represented itself quite well.

While not a situation for serious listening and critical evaluation, I didn't hear any "standout" weaknesses.
