SSD for BDP-1 Pertinent Specifications?

SSD for BDP-1 Pertinent Specifications?

From the discussion re USB 2.0 vs USB 3.0 I understood that the external music file storage transfer rate to the BDP-1 does not require high speed devices/connections.  If I want to use an SSD instead of a mechanical drive for the external storage do I benefit at all from the newer generation SSD's - SATA 3 vs SATA 2; 6Gbps vs lower Gbps; etc.?

For this dedicated BDP-1 external music file storage what are the SSD specifications that will really optimize performance?  Thank You

Hi

I have a few of the OWC 230GB SSD's that work fine. The speed is not important though for music playback so look for the best price.
