Bryston SP 1.7 Bypass question
« on: 15 Sep 2011, 02:39 am »
I prefer to listen music using 2 channel Bypass Mode with my Bryston BDA-1 and Bryston SP 1.7 combo. 2 questions:

1) Does ByPass Mode ignore all settings such as "Small(THX) / Large"?

2) I have my subwoofer enabled in Bypass Mode. However, the sub volume is optimized for for movies and in my 2 channel ByPass Mode I have the SUB set at -10db. Is there any secret way to go lower than -10db? LOL

Hi

Yes bypass is analog stereo only full range to the front two speakers.

With bypass the signal to the sub is full range - full level - so all adjustments must be at the sub.
