Saw some convenient scenery near the city. Took some photos after work.
Though I took care in composing shots, wasn't too happy with results.

A few that aren't too bad.

I like the compositions, with some more contrast and sharpness they'd be better looking.  They're all a bit overexposed IMO.  Well, except for the 1st one, that one's just garbage! :P  (just kidding)

I don't know what to say, accept that I think the lighting is accurate. I think I read somewhere that the brightness can be adjusted on the camera but don't know how to change it. Need to find and read the manual.

The photos were taken with Canon T2i, AF Landscape, Tamron 400mm Zoom. It was late in the afternoon with the sun starting to go down with the sun behind me accept for the last shot.

I know I should switch to manual mode. But I actually forget how to shoot in manual since I haven't done that since I had my Pentax.

The tripod I bought frustrates me. Made the mistake of buying one without the leveling bubble. I use a portable level but find it awkward with one hand holding tripod and other hand trying to make fine adjustments. 8)

Ok, you know what it could be? I'm shooting in Raw, JPeg Large. Perhaps I need to photoshop the photos.

Here's another one, I darkened the exposure abit in photoshop. How's that look?

Nice shots, keep em coming.

I have realized (and should have remembered) that looking through the viewfinder does not give you the true exposure you will see in your pictures. Better to underexpose a little, you can lighten it up. If you overexpose, you can't really fix the more overexposed parts.

In manual mode you can stop it down one or two, and you will get a greater depth of field also.

I've been shooting in Raw & Jpeg so that I can edit the Raw for personal collection, and show the easy to edit Jpeg's.

I need to get a easier to use photoshop software for Raw. The one that comes with the camera is too hard for me to figure out.

This one I edited leveling the horizon, darkened slightly and cropped.
