I thought I should share it with all the members here.

I do hope to be able to meet with quite a few of you in October.




To-date we have approximately 30 exhibit rooms reserved with excellent
participation from our local manufacturers and retailers. Checkout our

Ultimately we'd like to signup a total of 50-60 exhibit rooms so give us a
call and help us fill up these rooms!

In addition to the exhibit rooms we will be holding hourly seminars and
workshops on Saturday and Sunday and we're lining up some pretty cool stuff!
Wally Malewicz willing be coming out to Denver to provide several
turntable setup workshops. Ray Kimber has expressed an interest in demo'ing his
IsoMike recording techniques. If you've heard any of Ray's CDs you know this
will be a real treat for the attendees. Greg Burnett (Colorado Audio Society
member) has a very eye opening FM broadcasting seminar that explains why
most FM radio stations sound so bad and demonstrates an example of good
sounding FM. Mike Pappas, a local radio station engineer, will be holding
round-the-clock demonstrations of their 5.1 DSD live recordings....these are
not be missed. Dan Schmalle and myself will be heading up a couple of basic
soldering classes and we're actively working many other possibilities for
the seminars/workshops but if you have any ideas in this area your input and
suggestions are more than welcome.

In addition to the exhibit rooms and seminars we'll also be providing live
entertainment throughout the weekend starting with our Friday night catered
party. As you might guess, we have an abundance of local talent in the
Boulder,
Colorado Springs and Denver areas from which to tap however, if any of you
have "connections and/or friends" within the music industry and could help
us to
lineup a big name talent for a possible large concert on Saturday or Sunday
night, the
Marriott does have a ballroom (with stage, lighting and soundsystem) that
can seat over 1200 people.

At 652 rooms, the Denver Marriott Tech Center Hotel is currently the 2nd
largest hotel in the Denver metropolitan area however it has a nice warm and
intimate atmosphere with a large atrium area and several restaurants. Our
goal is to fill up this hotel! We won't be satisfied with our efforts with
any
less than 2000 attendees at this event so you can rest assured that we will
be doing everything possible to make sure your exhibit room is full
throughout the entire weekend. The following are just a few of the
promotional activities currently in the works:

We'll be running ads in the Absolute Sound and Stereophile.

We are sharing banner space with Positive Feedback Online, 6 Moons, Enjoy
the Music, The Audio Asylum, KUVO radio and Audiosold.com with more expected
to come in the next few days.


This week we are meeting with the local public radio jazz station (KUVO)
management to discuss possible promotional activities including a live feed
from the Marriott Hotel during the show and maybe even live recordings of
some local artists during show hours with, of course, a live audience. It's
easy to find the audiophiles, however we're hoping this relationship with
the local jazz station (including several dozen advertisements and
promotional spots) along with some other planned local advertising and
promotions will attract a good number of non-audiophiles to this event

Good news.  This is really shaping up to be a great show.  It looks like they recently expanded the list of exhibitors - two pages now.

The organization of this even has been first class so far and I believe this to be a very worth while show for everyone. This event looks to be so good that I went ahead and reserved two rooms.

Hope you can make it. I think it will something like VSAC or MAF on steroids. At least I hope so. Given the Ron Welbourne was one of the orgnaizers of VSAC it may be.

I'm definitely going to attend.  Depending on what things are like in October, I'm thinking of going for the whole thing and doing some heavy picture taking coverage.  

Looks like they updated the list of exhibitors again recently - lots of good companies on there.

Yes, Dodd Audio will be sharing my room with me. In fact Gary Dodd has some new amps that are really killer. I can't wait for the rest of the industry to hear them.

We also should have a new surprise to debut if all goes well... patent office, etc.

I can just imagine how entertaining it would be if we can get you and Jason together along with a few beers.

I would like to make it. VSAC wasn't quite my type of show (don't do tubes, and it was all 2ch... ), but I did enjoy meeting Danny & Wayne there as well as a few other AC vendors/manufacturers.

Wayne was trying to get me to come down to the show while we were having beers at VSAC. I was warned about Pez & Tyson as well that night...  

So Wayne, what kind of beer is around down there? Anything better than that Alaskan we were drinking up here? Not that the Alaskan was bad (was actually really good that night I thought. Better than I remember Alaskan tasting), but better can be done...

More local beers than you can shake a stick at.  I've been told that we have the most per capita breweries outside of Bavaria.  There's a reason the Great American Beer Festival is held here every year.

One of the local microbreweries, Great Divde, has a "pub" outlet in the hotel where RMAF will be taking place. They are good people and have won quite a few awards for their products. Their Denver Pale Ale is VERY good. Right across the highway is a Rock Bottom Brewpub. A short dirve away is CB & Potts, a very nice restaurant/sports bar that brews some good beer.

A little bit longer drive south, about 10 minutes, is Castle Rock where the Rockyard Brewery is. That is the last brewery where I designed most of the recipes. I haven't tasted the IPA lately, but it was the drink of choice by most of the brewers when they come to town for GABF.

If you are feeling adventurous, you could head to downtown Denver. Falling Rock Tap House has 69 beers on draft and has been voted one of the top 5 beer bars in the US for many years. The brothers that own it, worked at the Ginger Man in Austin for many years.

Pint's Pub is near the Capitol building, downtown. They brew their own very traditional English ales. They are all stored in wood casks at cellar temp. and are pulled up one level with a beer engine. They also have the largest selection of single malt scotches in the US. Tyson spends a lot of his money there
