I have latest squeezeserver software and I'm not 100% sure this problem is from the update but I keep getting "this is no cd ..." and it stops playback until I hit cancel 8 times....I've never used squeezeserver or a SB to playback a CD, I didn't even know you could do that, but I can't figure out why this keeps popping up, should I uninstall and reinstall.....I hate to do that if I don't have to....anybody see this one before???

Have you tried removing the power cord and then re-inserting it and rescanning your library (please turn off virus protection programs when doing so)?

I just updated to 7.6 and had issues with no album, artist etc.  Had to uninstall and reinstall before everything started working again.

I just updated mine the other day but have only played internet radio for a bit after the update.  I'll have to try it later.

I tried multiple times to get 7.6 to work (cleaned the cache, clean reinstall, etc.) and never could get it to see even half of my music.  You also lose all web interfaces except Default and Classic with 7.6.  There are a lot of unhappy people on the SB forums.

I accomplished a clean reinstall of 7.5.5 and I'm up and running again.

Did 7.6 update here with SB Touch setup and so far everything works.  Internet radio and music folders are working correctly.  I see album art and titles from my FLAC files metadata.   

Have not tried it with the SB Duet that I had setup before the Touch.

Ed, that doesn't sound like a problem caused by SBS, but who knows.  Where are you getting the message? 

For others, if all of your music is in flac format and your album art is in independent files and not embedded in the file (like some mp3s), then 7.6.0 seems to work fine.  If all of those things are not true, you will may well have problems as golfugh mentioned, so you might wait to upgrade. 

The developers are aiming to release 7.6.1 later this week, which should address many of the issues.

For now, it's probably best to reinstall an earlier version if you're having issues.

Reverted back to 7.55 got Fishbone back, wish I knew how to make better skins happen, but either way so far so good

Running 7.60 with no problems at all, music in FLAC files with album art in the album folder, everything works fine -- Internet radio, FLAC playback, scanning, etc., etc.  Windows XP SP3, 2.8 ghz dual-core P4, 2 gb RAM, SqueezeBox Touch running wireless.

After removing the power plug and putting it back it after a few seconds (it showed it playing from my library but I got no sound), it is actually working better than ever.  When I did the hi-rez downloads of Band on the Run and All Things Must Pass I had an issue and had a friend finally do it as I was getting nowhere.  It never pulled up the cover art before tonight.  Also, I might be crazy, but I replaced the Cat5e cable from a common cable to an Audioquest between the switch and the Touch and I could swear it sounds a bit better.  I have not used the Touch much of late so it may just be that.

To be honest, after the debacle with the first release of 7.6, when I see a pop-up about a new version of SBS, my initial inclination is to wait until a couple of weeks have passed, to let other users "beta-test" the thing.

I thought he mixed up angina and agita - and I haven't moved off of 7.5.n for my DUET due to all the static I'm reading on the boards regarding 7.6. I'll wait for 7.6.1, if not 7.6.2.
