Hi jasper,

The DAC in the B60 is limited to CD Quality so that would be the main concern depending on where you want to go with high resolution digital files in the future.

That's what I was concerned with when I bought my Bryston gear.Took me longer to acquire but I will have no regrets because of the flexibility I Now have.
Besides it's all waiting for me to finish getting the rest of the kit I need before I have some kind of custom sized stand made.

Bryston has integrated amps and preamps with built in DACs. the thing is that they "only" do up to 96khz/24bit.
will these DACs be upgraded to 192/24?

Hi Al,

Maybe at some point but given the cost and the flexibility of the External BDA-1 DAC I think that is a much better value for our customers going forward.

for now, i want to use it for playing music out of itunes- without spending an arm and/or a leg. my cd player already has a very high quality built in dac (would be nice if i could just run itunes through it, but this seems like something that is just not done- for whatever reason). i'm just starting to understand present digital possibilities and needs- as for the future of digital music (or at least my future)? i have no idea...
