It was too hot to do anything around Raleigh this weekend so my wife and I enjoyed movies.  I rented Lincoln Lawyer from BB and we watched it late yesterday afternoon.  This movie does not have a lot of suspense nor action but it is an excellent movie.  The story and acting kept my wife and I engrossed until the very end.  I would add that you do not want to miss the ending!  If you are looking for a good DVD/BlueRay Disc to rent then please do not pass this one by.

My rating 3.5 out of 5 stars.

We must be on the same wavelength Ken! Julie and I watched it on PPV last night. Good movie, a few surprises, smart. Rated R for nudity, I don't think so. I've been waiting for 20 years since My Cousin Vinnie, but still no luck.

That would be "The Wrestler" (2008).

Or "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead".  If I remember correctly Ms. Tomei was looking quite fine in that one.

Best,

Agreed, LL is entertaining, but suffers from mis-casting with the smug, unctuous and ever self-conscious actoring of Matthew "I feel it's time to take off my shirt" McConaughey in the lead role.    In my 10 years of practicing, I saw rather few 30 something lawyers who looked like they could drop and do 300 situps, or would want to.   Tomei OTOH, always fetching and substantive, is great casting and you can't say enough good about her (she deserved that Oscar!).    Tom Cruise (or others) might have been a better fit.

I recommend the very fine "Source Code."
