Last nights intense shootout was interrupted by the tester(Guy in MO.) and Moderator(Me) who both fell asleep....LOL... The shootout will continue some time today provided the tester gets his Honey-do list completed... Sometimes its really cool to be single....... ..to be continued.

OK...so we resumed our test last night and despite the Hurricane interfering with our tester and everyone else involved, we have some results.

First off he noticed a distinct difference on day two of the LCD2's making for better sound quality so the validity of the test is somewhat skewed because of beak-in (For those that don't believe in breakin-you can call it whatever you like, but its happening)

 Basically he came to this conclusion, its a tie pending further testing after 100 hours or so are put on the LCD2's.....hopefully that will provide more even ground. So until next time, this is "Fast" Eddie signing off

A though match between 2 monsters. The last i've tried was the LCD-2's with a solid state. I really liked it, but i cant afford to it in this moment.

My friend has both, he got the LCD2's like a few days ago, so they are sometimes great, sometimes not so great so they are breaking in, but he did say that if there was any difference either way as to which sounded better its so close, so I'm happy because I saved a bunch of money and still got great headphones, and they (HE-5LE's) are really, really comfortable......now I just need to decide on the LYR or EF5, the dealer I'm working with has both for me so I just need to pick and I'm finding they sound fine with my MP301-MK2 amp and even my old Kenwood A/V receiver I'm using for my HT, movies are awesome and gaming also.......I'm not sure a dedicated headphone amp will really make a big difference? What do you think Noseyears????? I'm confused
