Maybe this was addressed before I joined.; but..... are the powerpack 300s as overall fine as the current 4b sst2? I was considering changing my 4bst. for one or the other . Thanks members in advance. :dunno:

Not sure on performance comparison but, the PP have not been upgraded to sst2 as of yet.

I like the idea of being able to affix to the rear of dynamic speakers like Devore Nines or Reference 3a Grand Veena's, for example, so long as that could be done without any downside.  I have enough to look at w/o two more boxes.  For sure, I would prefer them be the latest SST grade.

I know some people take great pains (and sometimes great expense) for footers, isolation platforms or both to keep vibrations away from the amplifier chassis.  While I don't know if this is needed or not, for those people, attaching an amplifier chassis to a vibrating speaker box would be the exact opposite.

Something I would consider, too, tho internally active speakers like mine or ATC's, for example, don't seem to have a problem.  But, as mounting external amps would be an afterthought, I can appreciate your point.  At the very least, I would consider buffering them somehow.
