I'll likely go on Sunday too - I have to catch up at work and will likely go in for about 4 hours and grab lunch and at least spend some time at the Audiofest

Anyone going to this event please report on what you hear and see in the room shared by Salk Sound and Philharmonic Audio.  You're in for a nice surprise and, I hope, a big audio treat.

I'll be in the DC area just by chance this weekend but I probably will not be able to get there.  :(

I will be there Saturday.  Dennis & Jim are in the O'Keefe room on the first floor.  I might be talked into returning Sunday.

Paul - I helped Dennis & Jim move all the stuff to the hotel yesterday and I heard the new Philharmonic 1 & 3.  They were not yet optimally located in the room so I can't say anything about stereo image & sound stage yet, but their tonal balance is excellent and your bass sound is easily up to your usual standards - excellent :thumb:.

Richard, thanks for the input and the compliment.  I sure hope they're able to really optimize locations for Dennis' speakers so they'll sound absolutely their best.  I'm leaving in less than a half-hour to participate in Parts Express' MWAF tomorrow with my latest DIY design.  Tonight is registration and meet-and-greet.

One day down at the Audio Fest.  We had the big hog SS10's cranking (my personal pair), Jim's new server and player,  Frank's great sounding hybrid amp and an Insight Preamp with a phono stage he put in just for my LP spinner, and I had two speakers I'm selling as a benefit for my orchestra.  The room is good but not great--lotsa carpet and acoustic ceiling tile.  The hardest part is finding program material that a wide spectrum of people will like.  I hope any of you planning to attend will bring a favorite CD or two.  That really helps us and you out.   To bed.

I'll probably bring a couple of CDs.  I have not used it vs. my real RTA yet, but I have an RTA on the iPhone.

Professional courtesy perhaps?  Since they collaborate together quite a bit is my guess.

As far as I know it is Dennis' creation; his "brain child."  I am sure he'll fill ya'll in when the time is right.
