Im considering purchasing a sp1. how similar is the stereo bypass to the bp25,   are there different software vs, is there a 5.1 analogue bypass that would allow dolby true hd. and are the dacs superior to the burr browns in my yamaha htr 6190 receiver Im currently using in combination with  2 4bs

It is should be substantially the same as the BP-25 in 2-channel bypass.  It does not have a multi-channel input.  You can have it upgraded.

I think it would be better to upgrade to the SP2 from the SP1..
