Good point on the spending money part, but keep in mind that even a million dollar record cleaner would not offer any protection for your records, every time your play your record, it wears out due to friction.
Unless you use
LAST Record Preservative, as I have for 25+ years

It firms and stabilizes the vinyl itself so wear is absolutely minimized. Not much at all wear after that - probably best to apply after a thorough cleaning with Loricraft, VPI, Nitty Gritty or whatever so that the gunk is first removed from the grooves so that the LAST Record Preservative can bed in every part of the groove

I use
LAST Stylast on my styli, too, and it works as advertised. Use only AFTER wearing in any new stylus...if you use from the start it will take forever-and-a-day to wear in (Ive made that mistake before and it was a mighty interesting proving of the products efficacy in retarding stylus wear)
