Hi Bob,

The CD is just named "SoundScape" "SoundScape Demo Disc",
track #15.

Yes, MerRev, I agree the Salks (and I think Ryan's "Cirrus") are very clean which attests to the 'cleanness' of Bob's entire system. If there had been any bottlenecks in the electronics, it would have been revealed in short order by the Salks.

Cheers.

Oh, ok. Thanks. I was thinking it was a SALK disc for some reason. I've got one or two of them and was going to see if I had the track you guys were talking about.

I've got a SALK disc with a track #15 called "I Feel Love", by The Blue Man Group.
It's got some gal singing.

That one?

The gathering was quite a lot of fun, even though I couldn't stay long with Liam in tow.

Thanks to Bob for hosting and welcoming us to his house. It really was a pleasure listening in a purpose arranged room with a dedicated system that performed in superb fashion. :green:

Hi Bob,

No, there is no girl singing. Just percussion and an instrument or two.

Hi Bob in STL,

The CD label has "Soundscape" on it and this song is also on it:

Lin

Hi Lin,

I remember that song as well, but the one I was referring to was the other percussion, mainly drums, kick drum etc.

I also wish the Salk CD I have had Peter Frampton's song you linked too. That one is nice as well.

Cheers.

Have you listened to the disc, I thought Bob said the Peter F song was on there also.

I thought so too, but Bob must have referred to the percussion selection. I can probably get it from another source. Bob's selections brought me some more cool songs I wish to gather for my collection, and to perform tests with.

Cheers.

Thanks for having us out Bob.  You have a lovely home and well designed listening room.  I hope you do this again sometime.  Listening to your Soundscapes was a real treat.

Yes, thanks again Bob for hosting ... I had a nice time.  Time sure flew though, it was 5pm before I knew it!

The Soundscapes reminded me once again that PR's just sound great.  Love the distortion free tone and impact they bring to the table.

One question about those Soundscapes I should ask Jim or Dennis, what is the listening axis?  I have the bottom edge of my tweeters at 36" which is a standard seating height, and yours were close to a foot above mine ... makes me wonder what height they designed the crossover for.  I'm also still wondering if your have the Amorphous Core RAAL or standard Ferrite core.  From listening, I'm going to guess they have the standard Ferrite core.

Bob, this was the disc that Jim Salk provided with my speakers.  I believe he mixes it up a bit, so the songs are not always the same on his discs.
