I would like to remove the volume pot out of the Minimax and just have the signal go out to my autoformer.  Do I need to just put in a resistor at the output for this to work?  I'm told the volume pot is 50k, is that the size resistor I need?  And, lastly, where do I put it?  In the return path?  Thanks.

Ha, thanks.  I hesitated posting my question here knowing that this was your domain and this is what you do.  Right now I can't spend the money on your mod except for op amp rolling (shortly) and what I thought would be a straight forward and cheap mod in removing the volume control that I could do myself.  Maybe down the road I'll look you up.  Your mod has garnered great reviews.
