Up for Sale is the superb YS Audio Balanced A2-SE preamp. This is the Special Edition which has upgraded Sonicaps, Cardas RCA connectors, and Neutrik XLR connectors.
This preamp is almost new, it is less than a year old (about 10 months with low hours).
Cosmetically and functionally flawless! Comes with original box, remote control, manual and paperwork. You will be getting upgraded Jan Phillips 12AT7 tubes as well as Tung Sol 5687 among others. The YS Audio Balanced A2 SE (Note, this is the upgraded SE version,
available in black. Silver is a special order) has, what we would call
excellent tonal balance. This means that the there is not necessarily a
pronunciation in the frequency extremes that give a sonic character. For
example, unlike the Doge 8 and the Ming Da MC 2A3X8, it has real solid
bass response that kicks the woofers into action and gets them singing.
The Balanced A2 (as opposed to the A2-SE), is slightly less refined (hence the lower cost), and is more
dynamic, less laid back and more upfront sounding. It still images very
well and given its price point, it is a great sounding premp.
Images can be thrown about 3 feet away from the speaker in either
direction. Ergo, this preamp (both A2 and A2SE) can real image and give
instruments in the sound stage real timbre and focus. Above, all, because of
its warmth and tonal quality, we really felt that we could listen for an
extended period of time.
We loved the extended balanced control as we shifted the image left, right
and dead of center.

Love the sound but I've decided to move to solid state because I don't want to deal with tube maintenance.
