The 7B's have always been about $500.00 more than the 14 mostly due to the 7's have double the power supply capcitance.  The popular notion that the 14B is 2 7B's in one chassis is not quite true.

That makes sense.

Thanks

The 2 7B SST driving my 18"s are rated 628w and 635w
The 2 7B SST driving my 15"s are rated 650w and 648w
The 2B SST driving my 2" compressions are rated 2x 141w
The 2B SST driving my 1 3/4" compressions are rated 2x 140w

Let's recall that in any case you need to double the power to get an extra 3dB so 50w over a 600w amp will make no audible difference. With 98dB/w/m efficiency speakers per channel, the amps can safely deliver the 120dB fortissimos of a live performance.
