ERA D4 in Rosewood - nice!
« on: 23 Mar 2011, 03:56 am »
The D4 is an exceptional monitor that received many great reviews. It is killer on a pair of stands in a small to medium sized room. Bass response is amazing for a speaker this size and all the reviews comment on the full range performance of the D4. The D4 is video shielded.

Awards include Absolute Sound Editors Choice Award and Home Theater’s Editors pick Award.
The D4 was designed by Mike Kelly of Aerial. ERA typically blows listeners away with these at all the shows. They think there is a sub playing when there is not.

Dimensions: 9.6"h X 5.8"w X 6.8"d. Recommended power is 50-150 watts. Efficiency is 84Db. Weight 11 pounds each unboxed.  ERA D4 cabinets are constructed from ¾” MDF and are layered with beautiful real rosewood wood veneer.
Ships in original boxes and packing materials.
$375 plus shipping, paypal without fees please!

I don't have Paypal anymore, but could express out a money order for $340+shipping.  My zipcode is 40330. I know from Seattle, WA it's about $35 for D4's shipping and wherever you are can't be any farther away than that.  How old are they?  Was intending on buying some next week anyway.

Hmm, is in minor limbo as I am going to be getting a Peachtree Nova shortly. I am interested in trying them together before I ship. :duh:
Believe it or not someone else from WA is already interested too.

Maybe you could post your impressions of the two together. It would be interesting to get some feedback on that combination, which I haven't seen published anywhere.

Well, the combo is delightful for a small space.  I am using the pair in my bedroom which is pretty decent size.  I'd recommend the unit for any smaller room, say 13x11 or less. The pairing images like a dream. Sweet.
The Peacetree Integrated can drive larger speakers and will stay.  The D4, sadly, will not be staying as the room is too large. The speakers that will stay are Kef Ref 101/3s which where probably the same price or more than the D4s, but in 1992 dollars. (so I'd say the D4s compare extremely well with much high dollar gear)

One person has dibs on the D4, so well see if he is still interested. Stay tuned.
