Chairdude, what does it take to be able to link to a doc?  ONce all software is in place what do you do to an excel file or folder of excel files to be able to link/access to them?

MaxieRich,

It's an alarming simple procedure thru SugarSync.  Here's there explanation of it: https://www.sugarsync.com/blog/2011/03/28/our-biggest-and-baddest-iphoneipad-app-yet/

Essentially, if you have an email you want to reply with on your iPhone (or iPad) that requires an attachment, it requires the following steps.

1. Go to your SugarSync app icon and open it.

2. Find your documents, then zero in on the specific document you want

3. Click on the right side by the blue arrow facing to the right and you have a few menu options to choose from

4. Choose 'Copy to billboard'

5. Go back to your email, touch the body of the email and paste the link that you copied to your billboard already.

6. Finish your email and send

When the email is received by the other party, they will see a link and they can view your doc.  They can download it, as well, and as needed.

Seriously, its wonderfully easy.

Better still would be the ability to 'attach' a document in SugarSync as you do to any in Outlook, gmail, AOL, Yahoo, etc. I don't know if this is at all possible...but it's nice to dream further.

But, aside from this, the current method is excellent and effective.
