I should have a bunch of jazz/cello cds...but they are mostly on the experimental/"free" jazz sphere.
Here is one I am listening to now:
Elliot Sharp. String Quartets: 2002-2007 performed by the Sirius String Quartet. You can also check out some of Leroy Jenkins albums, a few of them had cello musicians. And Butch Morris uses lots of string instruments, inc. cello in many of his recordings. BUt this in not YoYo Ma kinda use of the cello, many times the cello sound is blended into the whole soup and are barely recognizable.
I probably got a bunch of other music w. cello, that I haven't listened to yet...but whenever I do post such albums in the "...listening to Now" I always make note of the presence of a cello...
