3B and Synchrony One?
« on: 24 Feb 2011, 03:47 pm »
First post hope this is correct thread/forum?

I am a total novice audiophile.

I have a year old 3B SST2 amp and I recently heard the PSB Synchrony One speakers and am considering a system audition. I have read though that some amps have trouble with 4 ohms speakers. True not true? Can the 3B deal with these speakers?

The rest of my system is all Bryston if that matters: BP26, Bcd1.

Thanks.

Hi JayMc,

Welcome to the Bryston circle.  The Synchrony 1 with a sensitivity of 90 db and minimum 4 ohm impedence will be a walk in the park for your 3B SST2.  Go for it-it's a great speaker in its market segment as is the 3B.

Thanks Bill. The Synchrony is in my price range presently and my very old B&W 805 speakers are wearing on me. I need a change.
