udac 2 problems on laptop
« on: 28 Mar 2011, 09:39 pm »
Hello,

I have a udac 2 that I've been using on my windows 7 64 bit pc for a few months and I've had no issues. I recently tried to hook it up to my laptop, which is a gateway NV5241u, and it does not work properly. The sound is very distorted and muffled. I've tried using the headphone jack and have the same issue. I'm trying to hook it up to my Pioneer VSX-819H receiver. I've tried the rca and digital coxial output and I get the same problem on both outputs. What could be wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Control Panel (in Windows 7) turned off all the Windows default manipulations.

Control Panel_Hardware and Sound_Sound_Manage Audio Devices

Go to 'Communications'
Set to 'Do Nothing'

Then Select go to Playback tab, choose Nuforce's 'Sound Properties"
Go to 'Advance'
Check both "exclusives control' items there.
