Does anyone know where I can find some high quality/low cost banana plugs that I can attach a spade connection to?

Thanks.

I've not purchased them yet, but I've been looking at the Vampire Wire SB Banana Plug.  It's a 2-part plug that will accept both a bare wire or a spade.  They seem to go for about $12 a pair on ebay  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5859578348&category=14966

Also seen Audioquest's adapters that are relatively cheap at $4.50 a piece, but they just look like you get what you pay for.    http://www.audioadvisor.com/store/productdetail.asp?sku=AQ1002G&product_name=Banana%20Adapter%20-%20Each

Let me know if you find anything else.

Man LoneWolf has the best memory.

Yes I use the Apature and they work quite well.  Just call John at Apature in FLA.

These are far better than the Vampire or the AQs because they use the "saw tooth" shaft, rather than the expanded barrel (especially for VMPS)

Here is Apatures web address:

I was trying to find a pair like these and remembered a thread about them, but couldn't find it when I searched .  I'll have to give them a call.  Any idea about the pricing?

My retail price list says $4 but doesn't say Pair or each.

Just call John.  He is a good guy, and has a lot of wiring and cable deals especially if you are a DIY type.  His PowerCords are pretty good deals too.

I big thanks to both John's. I bought the bananas, and they were only $1.50 each. :D

Jeez, at $1.50 I might buy some even though I have no need for them.

Just ordered 10 of them, though I got the $2.50 price.  Probably because I answered 'no' when asked if I was a dealer.  Still a good price and John seemed like a nice guy.

Thanks for the tip.

Ordered them Tuesday and they were sitting on my doorstep by the time I got home on Friday, that's pretty fast service/shipping.  Looking back, not sure why i ordered 10, only needed 8 and would need 12 for bi wiring.  Oh well, anyone need 2 of em?

These things are pretty nice and definitely don't feel like they should cost so little (especially if you got them for $1.50 each).  The bananna makes a solid contact in the post and the part that accepts the spade has a knurled knob on one end and a flat part that you can get an adjustable wrench on to tighten the whole package up.  Solid design.

Thanks again for the heads up.
