Beyerdynamic T1's on the way!
« on: 15 Jan 2011, 03:51 am »
Found a used pair (like new) on head-fi for $800 and snapped them up!  My DT880's are now for sale, as are the DT250's, and my Senn HD600's.  The T1's are very similar to the HD600's in overall presentation (which I love), but a serious step up across the board in every category.  They arrive on Monday and I'm stoked!

Congrats Tyson, those should be a fun ride!

I had DT770's, but have sold them in favour of picking up a set of Alessandro MS1i's.

I hate the way they sound. Terrible purchase and huge waste of money.  :duh:

Depends on the DT880s. There are 2 different ones. One is legendary, the other is craptacular. I own the legendary ones.  8)

I have a highly modded Musical Fidelity X-Cans in place now, with a custom 6bl7 based headphone amp being built for me, and a 2nd custom headphone amp based on the ECC99 being built as well (and both are functional preamps, too).

I own and love my T1. It does nothing wrong and is so balanced and neutral. I also have the LCD2 now you need  the Decware CSP-2 to run your T1. Magical

I own HD800's, Headphile Vixens made from PS1000's, T-1's and LCD2's.  The T-1's are one of my favorite cans.  Congrats.  I'm sure you will love them.

Congrats! I was am a big fan of HD600s probably it is no surprise then that Beyer T1s are the best headphones I have heard to date. I even owned a pair for a little while but I just couldn't justify the cost.

The HD600 with the Cardas cable has a remarkable resemblance to the T1.
