All,
I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and wishing you all a Happy New Year!!!

I've been busier than ever - and very excited to announce that production of the
Ginevra Phonostage will begin in the middle of
this month!

[Pronounced "gee-nev-rah"]
Of course a webpage on the Red Wine Audio site with details and pictures is on the way, but for now let me mention what I can here:
The Ginevra Phonostage is an LFP-V Edition product - right from the start! The Phonostage board is a pure, discrete Class-A transistor design (no opamps, no transformers) with both MM and MC sections. The output is fed to the LFP-V Edition tube stage, and it is all powered from our LiFePO4 battery pack - and features the AC/BATT select switch just like all our LFP-V Edition products.
MM input gain = 40dB
MC input gain = 60dB (with adjustable loading, and a position on the board for a custom resistor value if required). The load switches are on the board, for the shortest signal path and least amount of noise.
The enclosure will be similar to the Isabellina dac (power switch on the front), and the rear panel will have Vampire RCA in/out jacks. The inputs will be for MM and MC, with a switch to select the which one you are using (but not both at the same time). Charger jack, AC/BATT mode switch, and Chassis GND post also on the rear panel. New LFP-V Edition SMART board installed, and LiFePO4 battery charger (with 100 - 240Vac, 50/60Hz) is included.
Most of you already know what makes an LFP-V Edition, but here is a link to the LiFePO4 (LFP) battery and the tube stage (V - for Valve):

Please email me if you'd like to pre-order to reserve one from the first batch. I expect them to begin shipping at the end of
this month.
Actually - production has already began!

As many of you know - this phonostage has been in the works for a while now. When
the LFP-V Editions were introduced last Fall, I had to be sure to incorporate LFP-V into
the Ginevra Phonostage. It will be well worth the wait, and I greatly appreciate
all your patience during the development of this one-of-a-kind design - you will NOT be disappointed.
Thank you for all your continued interest and support for Red Wine Audio. These are very exciting times, and there are more exciting things to follow in 2011...

Best regards,
Vinnie
