Just bought a new pair of Axiom M22's.  They replaced a pair of Axiom M'3.
What would be the amount of hours for proper break-in?

Hi milford3, welcome aboard.  I split your topic off into it's own thread so you could perhaps get a better response.  You might think about renaming it "Axiom M22 question" or something like that.

Break in for speakers is complete when they stop sounding better.  It's mechanical so there is no set time, it depends on how hard you're driving them and the nature of the speaker.  But a general rule of thumb would be 50 hours for you to start hearing the speakers loosen up and about 200 hours before they reach full potential.  Are you having a problem with the Axiom's, or just asking a general question?

It's just a general question.  I have about thirty hours on them now but I'm not hearing much difference.  I'll drive them harder, move them around the room more and attach isolation spikes.

Some speakers take 100's of hours to fully break-in.

To expedite, provide bass heavy music, wire them out of phase, point them facing each other inches apart, turn up the volume, and cover them with a heavy blanket or put them in a closet (so no one has to hear the racket).

Great advice.  I'm running two subs for the LFE, would it be advisable to disconnect the subs for the burnin or do they (subs) go in the closet too?

Should be no need to include the subs if they're already broken in.
