How would you compare the sound of the VR-33?

I have listened to the Vandys Sig 3a and really liked the transparency of them. How would you compare the sound of the vr-33’s to them or the vandy 5’s, since they have a powered sub.  Just curious.

 Joe,
The Vandy sign 3 where in the running when I was in the market for speakers so I listened to them for a few hours. The VR-33 have better dynamics, drums are crisp and have impact like a drum should and they image like the Vandy's but you don't need to have them 3-4 feet from the back wall like the Vandy's. The last and I'm still lost how Albert does it but they are amazing and detailed with well recorded music, but remain very musical and sounding great with music that is not recorded well like some pop and rock records. Having owned a Vandy 3a signature and current VSA vr-4.5 owner let me chime in with opinion.  I loved the vandersteens but found them to be more work, harder to run, and somewhat lacking on the lower end.  I can't compare my current speakers vs the Vr-33 but from the general opinion on this board is the vr-33 are a worthy successor to the older vr-4.
When I placed the vr-4.5 in my home the sounded good with almost no setup and tuning.  The vandies needed alot of time to tune the up.  Also they imaged so well with almost no change in coloration when I moved around the room while the vandies did have a smaller sweet spot.  Selling the Vandersteens was a hard choice but in the end I am much happier with the Von Schweikert.
