Torus AVR International

Hi James,

My Torus AVR unit is a CS 16A German version with 230V input spec. and 20A power inlet.

1. I notice the output voltage is in range rather than a fixed number and does vary with the input voltage.  Is that normal?  (I used to own an isolater/regulater type conditioner with selectable, fixed output voltage, 220V or 230V.)

2.  My wall outlets or receptacles are NEMA 5-20R type (20A/125V).  I plan to change them to German (Schuko) type (16A/250V) that conform to the local electricity standard of 220V-240V later.  For the time being, is it OK to use a power cable with just the normal 5-15P plug/connector (15A/125V) to connect from wall to my Torus unit?  (The other end of the power cord is 20A IEC C19 type.)  Or is better to use 5-20P (20A/125V) plug with the power cord?

Thank you very much.

Hi Klao,

I would direct that question to Matt at Torus - thanks.
