Guys, my trusty NAD 701 in my workshop system went "poof" tonight, and all I get is distorted audio at very low volume, regardless of source.
I'd like to find a replacement unit at a reasonable price, so, if you have oner kicking around your closet, please let me know. Something in the St Louis area would be great!
As far as what happened, I noticed a very slight burning smell near the unit several nights before it quit. I thought it was a florescent ballast, but now that the unit is off, the smell is gone. Thoughts?
