Selling a pair of very lightly used Audioengine P4 monitors with solid bamboo cabinets.
I bought these unopened from another gentleman about 2 weeks ago, so technically I'm the 2nd owner... but I'm the only one to use these speakers, and they've seen less than 5-6 hours of use over the last week. They're in excellent shape - like new -and work perfectly.
I loved the look of the bamboo cabinets, and especially like how solid they are. Plus, the acoustic advantages are a plus (Ascend has a good writeup about the advantage to laminated bamboo cabinets, which are used in their Sierra speakers).
That said, as much as I wanted to like these speakers more than my PSB Image B4's I'm currently using on my desktop.... I found I just prefer the more laid back sound of the B4, even if I think they look a little plain.
The Audioengine P4's have a very clean crisp sound to them, but were a little too forward for my ears. They're definitely good speakers... just not my preference compared to the PSB speakers I already own.
As pictured, speakers come with original double box packaging and speaker "socks", along with manual.
