benefits of RM-10 mkii monos over stereo
« on: 23 Mar 2010, 09:12 pm »
I am considering the purchase of a second RM-10 mkii. What are the benefits of going mono over my current stereo set up? I know additional power is a plus, though that's not really necessary for me. But what else should I expect?

My speakers are Zu Druids mk4/2008.

Thanks.

I don't know but I've thought about it too. Except, you double the cost of tubes plus you would want to make sure both amps were well matched, which may or may not be an issue. How does one sound wth the Druids? I heard them at RMAF and they are quite nice.

ask roger is the rm10 mk2 is bridgeable( turning each one into 70 watts vs. 35). always better to have more power when needed than less.

Jeffrey, did you ever make the move to a mono pair?
