Album art source ...
« on: 13 Dec 2010, 03:06 am »
I pray it is ok for me to post my question here .... I could not find a "computer audio " cicrle.

I am PERFECTLY computer illiterate. I have 11,000 songs in Foobar on an external hard drive, with NO album art. I have looked at EVERY damned website about getting album art in Foobar, and it is simply way too difficult for me to understand.

I plan on transferring these songs to Windows Media Player and quitting Foobar.

My question is this :  Is there ANY rather simple program I can run these songs through to get my album art ?

Have you tried this one?
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=28
or
http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000:Components/Album_Art_Panel_(foo_uie_albumart)

BTW: WMP will download album art for you however it is limited in size (250*250)
My personal favourite is J River Media Center

Are you sure you have foobar set up so that it displays album art?  I love foobar but it is about as user unfriendly as they come regarding display setup.

foobar -go into "user interface" in preferences and make sure foobar is setup to show album art

Hmm ... Just tried that. When I click on "user interface", there is nothing that states anything about album art ?

Sorry, the easiest way to do this may be to download the alternate Foobar interface called Columns UI: http://yuo.be/columns.php

Load the plugin and you should be able to pick it as your user interface and then show album art. It also gives you the option of building a custom interface or downloading one of the many already built ones available on the net

see screen capture enclosed of my Preferences screen
