I think I saw somewhere it was CA but I can't find it right now.
I think he's located in San Jose.
My favorite design is his B22 amplifier. It comes in several different iterations, but the one I like the best is the differential version that puts out 50 watts. With the speakers that sts9fan, TomS and I own, its a no brainer and will give all dynamics needed. It's a great design because you don't need a massive chassis, with large heatsinks, etc...in addition you can use it as a fully differential headphone amplifier. Very cool.
See
here. Tyll Hertsens of HeadRoom and Ray Samuels have both given positive feedback on the design.
Besides that, the whole design is a fantastic read, a nice website, and lots to learn.
If you go to this
link, you'll learn about Ti Kan, the designer. He has a fanatical attention to detail and his builds look very professional. Because of this and excellent customer service under his company of AMB, the enthusiasts at headfi forum got together and
purchased him a brand new Sennheiser HD800. Now, how often do you see that?
Anand.
