Wood Floors/ question
«
on:

I just had some hardwood floors put in.
Should the quater round match the baseboards or the floor. Right now I have the 1/4 round matching the floorboards and it looks a bit wierd.
Thanks,
Todd

Usually the 1/4 round is to be painted by you. If they installled a prefinished 1/4 round you should have been advised of that fact. It will look a bit odd as the floor should not accent the baseboard. visa vera.

The 1/4 round should match the baseboards in color and usually in contrast to the floorboards.

It can be done either way, but to me the quarter round always looks better when it matches the baseboards.

Yeah, I think the quarter round should match the baseboards. It would look slightly strange the other way around (to match the flooring).

I am going to redo the 1/4 round to match the baseboards.
