Two RBH 1010 SEN subs in upgraded piano black.
List $2500. Sell $795 + shipping, for the pair.

Very good condition, with the usual swirls from cloth dusting and some very vague imprinting of the packing foam on the finish on top that's visible in certain lighting, ie, shining a flashlight on it. Normal stuff. Boxes are in good shape. See my Audiogon feedback: Richards. Pic from a distance here, and I can send close-up photos as well:

These have served me well in my corners crossed over/ amplified with Tact equipment, but I've decided to go the whole Tact/ Lyngdorf route with a double stack (4) of Lyngdorf W210 subs so these are up for sale. These had previously replaced both a pair of VBT subs and double stack of Linkwitz Phoenix subs in my system.

Here's an excerpt from a review by Michael Fremer in Stereophile:

"...the 1010-SEP had the same taut, detailed, tonally pure delivery, without lumpiness or one-note bass, and for a whole lot less money [than the Ariel SW12]. I bought an SW12, so, unlike the rest of the Aerial system, it was still on hand for a direct comparison. No, the 1010-SEP was not the equal of the SW12, but the RBH came closer to the Aerial's performance than any other subwoofer I've had here since—especially when reproducing music. The Aerial does better with atomic bombs, large room ambiences, and the like, but considering the difference in price, the 1010-SEP is an incredible value, and one of the most accomplished subs I've heard. You'll be hard-pressed to tax its dynamic performance in a room of normal or even large size; more impressively, you'll have a harder time "hearing" it as opposed to experiencing it, which is as it should be."

This review was with one sub, the powered version. I've found that getting the amp out of the vibrating box and powering with an outboard amp provides great advantages in bass clarity. To go inexpensive, consider the NHT X-2 crossover and A1 amp presently sold by the factory, at less than half price:

or use a crossover amp of your choice....
