Saw, The Final Chapter.  Based on watching the DVD this afternoon I hope it was the final chapter.  My rating 2 stars out of 5.

I've enjoyed this franchise enough to keep watching, and I REALLY enjoyed the first film, but I hope this is it, too. I haven't seen it yet, but I already can feel it running out of steam. Time to let a good thing alone.

Yeah... it was pretty darn crappy.  I remember watching the first one in a theater having never seen a trailer or ad for it and having no idea what to expect.  It was a very different, novel concept and it kept my attention and was actually pretty decent as far as the horror genre goes... 

I've seen a couple of the subsequent installments though and they were all pretty terrible, IMO.  Same exact formula and aim to up the ante from the prior gore fest with little else going for it...   If I wanted to puke, I'd rather watch Slaughtered Vomit Dolls or Human Centipede.
